The leather is very flexible and a Genuine Leather. The binding is in fantastic shape. It was clearly left unused on a bookshelf for possibly 50 years, so the cover has some accumulated dust, of which I removed most with a damp cloth. It is flexible and I didn’t notice any abrasions. I found no writing anywhere except the presentation page, which was filled. The page edges have some infrequent and mild scratches. No page tears. Reinforced stitched binding, so that will help the text block stay tight and together. As you can see from the pictures, the paper quality is excellent; very little ghosting.
