Description: Vintage Signed SCHREINER NEW YORK “Jelly Belly“ Lucite High Dome Brooch Pin. This Iconic Pin is well known by vintage jewelry lovers as "Jelly Belly" Lucite Dome. The shape of the Pin is quite intriguing. It has amusing modern look. All stones of this Beauty are present, original and fit together perfectly. The gunned metal plating is very well preserved. The translucent Lucite Dome cabochon is open-back and has absolutely no evidence of scratches or nicks. Delicate gunned metal filigree “hugs” the Dome giving it an airy look while keeping it secure. The two rows of rhinestones surrounding the center - black diamond chatones and midnight blue squares - give it a solid foundation together with four wide prongs attached underneath the Dome. One of the prongs displays partial Schreiner signature mark. The reference to this design can be seen on page 114 of “Schreiner. Masters of Twentieth-Century Costume Jewelry” book by Carole Tanenbaum and Eve Townsend and Schreinery.com style ID NBT0T5. Dimentions: Pin size is 2” x 1 3/4”. Height is about 1 1/4”.
