Description: Vintage Russian/USSR Dulevo Hand Painted Porcelain Hanging Plate "AGASHKA" trimmed with 24K gold TOP DIAMETER OF THE PLATE 9 1/2" (24cm). Has two holes on the back for wall hanging. Charming Mid-Century Gold Rim plate has the Dulevo Porcelain Factory stamp and the Cyrillic letters for Dulevo on bottom. Such marks in different historical periods of the development of the Dulevo Factory changed their style. After the Factory received a gold medal in 1958 for the work “Falcon” at the Brussels World Exhibition, the hallmark looks like an image of a falcon.A characteristic design element of this plate is a lush rose-agashka - an expressive image of a bright purple flower named after its author Agafya Kustareva, an artist of the plant. "Agashkas" are performed with a special arrangement of a brush with large strokes. They also use a thin brush for the petals. The peculiarity of such a detail is the MANUAL application technique, when each time a unique pattern is obtained. The blindingly-white background and the rich luster of glaze decorated with gold perfectly combine with elegant pattern.Pre-owned, but never used. No chips, cracks, or scratches. Please see photos.
