Vintage Reissue SUKAJAN Reversible Japanese Souvenir Jacket Embroidered Size L

Description: This vintage, reproduction “Sukajan” has all the bells and whistles of the coveted souvenir jackets. It’s by Orient Express, who made the best and most authentic, reproduction Sukajan jackets. This reversible model has a quilted, black-satin shell on one side with an inky black velveteen/velour on the reverse; both sides feature embroidery on the chest, back, and sleeves. The embroidery includes imagery of dragons, a map of Japan, cherry blossoms, Mt. Fuji, and koi fish. It is in good vintage condition with minimal wear commensurate with its age, use, and storage; the ribbing appears to be made of wool as there are a fair bit of nips/small holes to collar/cuffs/waistband. There is minor pilling and some tiny points where the insulation is “escaping” through the satin. No rips, tears, or seam separations have been detected. The zipper functions smoothly. The features of this fully reversible jacket include welted side pockets finished with self-fabric arrow points (interior and exterior), amazing multicolored embroidery on satin ground and monochromatic embroidery on velveteen/velour lining, center-front double-sided separating metal zipper (labeled “Nippon”), and ribbed-knit collar/cuffs/waistband.
