Description: This rare PROGRAM LIGHT came from Radio City Music Hall.Possibly 1950's or earlier. The original owner's father (deceased) was a huge theater and movie collector and living in NYC. He told his daughter he got them from Radio City Music Hall. I bought the entire collection of books and Playbills dating back to the 40's.(Please inquire if you are interested in the Playbills. They are in binders of 25). Made of pot metal with Mother of Pearl push button.Measures 3-1/2" x 2". There is NO light bulb fixture on the reverse. In the theater, you would press the button and the light came on through the vented holes downward so you can read your program. It was most likely attached to the seat in front or side arm.The patent number is on the reverse. This piece is in great condition and very rare.Great piece of vintage theater memorabilia. Sold as is.
