Description: A vintage mirror pair (2 matching) green Foochow lacquer vases hand decorated with a dragon chasing the flaming pearl in gold, red, green and grey. As a symbol of wealth, regeneration, fertility, health and harmony, green is a lucky colour in Chinese culture. There is a small brass stud on the underside of each of the four feet. Including the base they measure approximately 20cm tall. Together they weigh 215g. Mid-century/ Pre-1950. In good condition with wear in keeping with age and use; the rim of each vase has a ‘restored’ ‘chip’. Please scroll through all the photos as they form part of the description.
