Description: Welcome to "Dallas Valley Discoveries". The descriptions for my vintage watches tend to be lengthy, but that's because I do my best to describe every small detail I'm aware of, especially in regard to wear and age and any quirks in how the watch may run. Please read the entire description before bidding. ATTENTION GENTLEMEN COLLECTORS, I have a large inventory of vintage women's watches and will be listing a bunch more this week. If you are struggling with gift ideas for the ladies in your life, why not invite them into you hobby of collecting vintage watches with one of the fine pieces I have listed. Brands include Bulova, Seiko, Wittnauer, Hamilton, Enicar, Timex, and much more. I also have some rare brands such as Suter. If you are looking for a certain item but don't see if listed, message me because I have so much inventory not yet listed. There's a good chance I have what you are looking for. Watch description is below. This listing is for a special, 1976, men's Gruen, Kennedy half-dollar, bicentennial anniversary watch. The watch is running but has a few condition issues. The coin dial seems to have rotated a bit within the case. The numerals for this watch are actually on the watch bezel instead of the dial so it doesn't affect telling the time, but it's still probably something the wearer would prefer to straighten. Second, is that the watch doesn't have a band. I'm including a nice, black leather, crocodile embossed replacement band. One of the tension rods that fits between the lugs is missing on one side of the watch, so the new owner will need a replacement for this in order to attach the band. These are easy to find. The gold plated finish on the watch case shows some wear along the outer edges of the sides of the case, on the lugs, and the bezel. There are scuffs and abrasions on the case and case back consistent with the age and use of the watch. The watch could use cleaning. The dial and crystal are in great, vintage condition. There are a few extremely slight marks on the crystal that are only visible under the light and magnification of a jeweler's loop. The band I'm providing is a new-old-stock band still in its case. The case back is stainless steel and is a snap closure. The information on the case back reads that the watch has a Japan movement and base metal bezel. The serial on the case back is GR7987 012 Y121E. The watch takes a size 377 battery, which I do not have on hand. I was, however, able to test the watch with a different sized battery held to its connection points and the watch is running. The watch's time keeping accuracy has not been tested. I have included video of the watch running as part of the listing. I can make no guarantees about its future working condition as I know nothing of its previous history or when it was last serviced. By buying the watch, the new owner is accepting the risk that can come with the purchase of vintage watches, and that such items can be unpredictable and may require servicing or repair to function properly. I do my best to minimize this risk by testing watches upon listing and then retesting before I ship once the watch is purchased. I video and date all tests so buyers know they are current and authentic. If a watch that had been working at the time of listing no longer does so at the time of shipping, I will contact the buyer so they may have the option of canceling the sell or renegotiating the price. Other watches like this one are listed in the $150 range. They, of course, have bands and straight dials. This watch's appearance requires some attention if it is to be as nice as those listed in the $150 range, but I am selling it at a price with this in mind. This is a chance to get a great deal on a timepiece that, with a little effort, can be a real showstopper and an amazing piece to add to one's vintage watch collection. You are buying the watch AS IS. Once the watch leaves my possession at the post office, the sell is final, with no returns, unless I have missed an important detail in the description. Pictures are to be considered as part of the description. Please review the images for a better idea of condition, and I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Shipping will be $4.50 USPS insured first class, and i would be more than willing to combine shipping. If you are overseas, please consider import fees before purchase, as I only ship through eBay's Global Shipping program and cannot misrepresent an item to avoid import fees. The penalty for not following regulation is too great and it's not something I'm willing to risk. Thanks for understanding. I don't offer a return policy, but... i will stand behind my listings. if i make a mistake on my listing, or i misunderstand an item or miss a relevant flaw on the items listed, i will do ANYTHING in my power to make things right for the buyer, so bid with confidence.
