Vintage MASI PRESTIGE Frameset Circa 1982 Virgin Condition

Description: This is a spectacular find as it is a 1982 MASI Prestige in virtually virgin condition. It was partially assembled as shown in the photos here but is for sale as a frameset with options of a new Campy Nuovo Record headset and bottom bracket. The other parts on the bike are not for sale as they have been allocated to other projects. The Prestige frame superseded the venerated Masi Gran Criterium and was a quicker riding frame than its predecessor with tighter clearances and lost wax investment castings for the lugs, fork crown and bottom bracket. The fork crown is particularly elegant as are the new more stylish lugs. This model is the pinnacle of all the Masi lugged steel frames. The color is called "Champagne Verde," which is a metallic champagne with a hint of mint green in it. The bottom bracket is Italian thread, the seat post size is 27.2., the rear spacing is 126.5 and the frame measures 69 cm. from the center of the bottom bracket to the tippy top of the seat lug. The top tube length is 57 cm. measured center to center. Chain stay length is 41.5 cm. and front/center distance is 61 cm. Head tube height is 12 cm. NOTE: a 60 cm. Masi is 58 cm. measured center to center. There is no tubing decal on this frame but it is most likely made with Excell tubing as Masi was already producing the Volumetrica model at this time with tubes from Excell France. The price listed is for frame, fork, and headset. Bottom bracket (still installed) is an extra $60.00. Freight listed is for Continental USA; more elsewhere by quotation. Frame will be shipped in a special Masi Styrofoam inner carton and placed in a cardboard carton to prevent any damage whatsoever. If you are a collector who rides this size frame, grab it! It is impossible to reproduce!
