Description: SEE ALL PHOTOS This is a rare old wooden country home kitchen hand slicer for slicing meat and or cabbage. The cast metal plate reads "Arcadia Manufacturing Co. Newark, New York Pat'd 1885-1891". The slicer measures 21" long x 10" across x 5 1/2" tall from bottom up to handle top. All of the old hardware, hooks, hinges, blade, handle, name plate, measuring guide for meat thickness & rod are all metal, steel or cast. The slicer top slides freely over the base and disconnects for cleaning. The wood body appears to be oak and is solid with some minor damage including some rust, dings, dents, and scratches from many years ago. (see photos) All parts are included, it is complete.
