Description: Vintage 1920s - 1950s St George’s Green enamel badge. St. George’s College - enamel badge (1920’s to 1950’s) Possibly a badge of St. George’s College, now part of the University of London Medical School? Any confirmation of this or otherwise would be greatly appreciated. The badge features Benedetto Pistrucci’s St. George and the Dragon motif which he originally designed for the new British coinage of 1816. The same emblem is still used on the gold sovereign coin.
