The LS-80X comes equipped with a Detective Precision Switch, this allows you to switch between normal and high precision which will help improve the accuracy. It has an audible notice for the height, to make sure it is adjusted properly. The newly improved LS-80X has a rear-mounted speaker with a louder audible tone, for noisy job sites where the audible tone is harder to hear. With a rating of IP-66, the Topcon LS-80X is protected against dust and water. It will stand up to a variety of job conditions. It can also be mounted with a Holder 6 bracket, so it will be more stable. The Topcon LS-80X runs on two AA batteries (not included). It will run for up to 120 hours, allowing for plenty of work time on the job site. It is also equipped with an auto-cut off feature, that powers down the LS-80X after 30 minutes of no beam detection, to help preserve battery life.
