Up for sale is a nice, very old antique book titled The Poetical Works of John Milton! This book contains his beautiful poetry. The book was published in the late Nineteenth Century. This nice book was a luxury book in the Nineteenth Century! I acquired this book from a private collection. It was gently handled and treasured down through the years. CONDITION: This antique book is complete and intact, in very good condition for its age as evidenced by the photos. The covers are padded leather. Both covers are in acceptable condition with some age-expected edge and corner wear, some cracking / splits on the front cover. The inside covers and endpapers are illustrated in a nice pattern. The inside covers are in good condition, with no cracking or separation present; both boards are firmly attached to the binding. The pages are in very good to very good-plus condition, very nice, pages are crisp. All pages are tight to the binding. The pages have a reddish / gold gilt on all edges - this gilt is in good condition. The padded leather spine is in fair condition with some edge wear, some splits in the leather and some of the outer covering has flaked off. This antique book comes from a smoke free home.
