The KINKS stayed on the Pye lable for the 1960s, where their pop took on a somewhat more sophisticated psych style as the decade went on - the Swinging 60s were an astonishing period for imaginative music and fashion! Ray Davies with his brother Dave essentially laid the way with tough mod sounds, lyrically direct cockney stories and creative rhythms. ....and this one is a fine example, from 1966. A quality fulfilling album of excellent tunes, and great to get into, it's surely one of the early 1960s standout records. VERY RARE especially in this condition, an excellent player. CONDITION; The VINYL grades NEAR MINT. PYE raspberry red STEREO Labels are EXCELLENT. The Single Card Cover grades EXCELLENT The rear is clear & bright, no writing. 3 flipback tabs. The 'STEREO' sticker was attached over the 'mono' catalogue number, as UK covers were used and were only made for Mono discs, the sticker is now missing. There are pin holes in each corner where this cool psychedelic cover once was mounted on the wall.
