The electric sides in particular - rough mixes though they may be (I can't hear any studio slickness.....) - showcase the talents of the likes of Phil Beer and Julie Matthews to great effect, with the standout track (among a selection of real goodies) for me being the Hutchings-composed "Yellow Dress" and Julie Matthews' magnificent "Go North". Lots of other good stuff - and the "trad Arr." reels rock like anything. Despite the cringeworthy lyrics, I even like "Paddle your own canoe" with its glorious rockabilly mandolin solo. The accoustic tracks pale a little compared to the full electric stuff, but are still excellent with Julie Matthews' wonderful voice at its most gutsy..... Having been deleted for some ten years,originally released on HTD Records in 1994,this album still remains one of those small gems in the history of The Albion Band. Between the release of The Albion Bands' albums "1990" and their 1993 "Acousticity" there were no new studio recordings. Neuware New powered by plentymarkets
