Description: Beginning in October 1982, Takara Japan released a 10-kit Series of AREA 88 models in a popular 1:100 scale. This vintage Harrier AV 8A/GR 3 model is one of those kits released by Takara in 1982 (Revell/Germany reissued this kit in the late 1980s). The kit features recessed panel lines and includes pilot and ground crew figures. As a bonus, this "hero" box kit includes a 1:24 scale figure of Royal Aslan Air Force Pilot Kim Abba and an aluminum sticker of Kim Abba's snake-wrapped sword and olive branch mark. The inside of the box is printed to replicate the base runway. Decals include: Royal Aslan Air Force, Kim Abba (Area 88), USMC VMA-231 #159242 (USS Roosevelt) and RAF 1st Sq. XW769.
