Description: This is a rare "Be My Valentine" doll from the 40's . Composition. Real hair. Hand painted. Beautiful side glancing blue eyes. A fine scratch across her face shows up in the pictures but I cant see it otherwise.Her clothes are original and not removeable. Blouse is so delicate. Heart and hat are felt. Dress and ruffle are satin. Petticoat is a stiff netting and panties are satin. For some reason, one arm is a little bit darker than the rest of her body. Both arms are firmly strung. Legs are stationary. She is such a sweet beautiful doll. Certainly a step above many of the storybook dolls.
