Description: Lovely small watercolor of St Anthony’s Chapel ruins in Edinburgh, Scotland. Color is subtle earth tones, not faded as you would get with a reprint, and well executed. Probably early 20th century. It’s signed (sort of) but I can’t really make it out. There is a small tear, looks old, which I have photographed. It was “repaired” with tape. Will ship unframed in glassine. I don’t want to remove it from the mat and risk damaging it. I always remove paintings on paper from their frames to investigate; the old frame is not a nice antique. No loss there. Good thing, too, as the backing board describes it as being in Shrewsbury, England, which is nowhere near Edinburgh. :) As with all of my listings you can also pick up. I’m an interior designer and a watercolorist myself, so I tend to buy a lot of works on paper. I frequently end up with lovely things I can’t use on a current project, but I can’t keep it all, so check out mg other listings! Happy hunting!
