Description: Small Antique French Souvenir Jewelry Box view of Paris Petit Palais c1900. The cushion has a small tear and a couple stains (see photos). Other than that, in good condition for its age. Size: 2" 5/8 L x 1" 3/4 W x 1" 7/8 H "Eglomise" is the French name for the back-painted glass panels. That technique was used mostly in the second half of the 19th century up to 1910. Some of the souvenir boxes even have mother of pearl panels inlaid so that some parts shimmer with pearlescent light. We import French antiques and have a boutique in Seattle called The Curious Nest. For items over $100 we automatically insure the package (even if it's at our own cost). A sales tax will be applied for buyers living in Washington state. Please email us with any questions that you may have and we promise a quick reply. Don't forget to take a look at our other objects.
