Description: Neat 1 gallon military water jug manufactured by Carrollton Mfg Co in Carrollton Ohio from sometime in the 50’s or 60’s. In extremely nice condition with some light patina on the top of the water spout and four tiny dents; Two on the cover, one on the vacuum cap, and one on the jug body itself. All four dents are shown in the last four pictures for your review. Aside from those minor issues the jug is in excellent condition. It holds water (was tested for 24 hours and did not leak a drop) and the spout still works correctly. The handle is in great condition and the wood still shines; We didn’t even have to polish it. Cosmetically the jug has small microscratches all over but nothing major at all; None are deep enough to have caused any rust or corrosion and most you have to look closely to see. There is one tiny patch about 1/2” across where the metal has taken on a brownish color; It does not feel like rust and may be a deficiency in the metal itself. We have not attempted to polish the jug either so it may come out. Measures 14” tall and is about 9” in diameter. Please see pictures for details and if you have any questions let us know.
