It is pencil signed "Gropper" in the lower right margin,titled “High Noon on Road to A Few", and edition numbered "26/35” in the lower left margin. Notes: WILLIAM GROPPER (1897-1977) William Gropper studied at the National Academy of Design and was s student of Robert Henri and George Bellows at the Ferrer School. He was a WPA muralist and also a painter of social realism. His work can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, and many others.
