Description: The Sheafer PFM fountain pen was introduced in 1959, and quickly became the epitome of sophistication and elegance. Sheaffer made it in five models, and the one offered here is the PFM II: a plastic body with brushed stainless steel cap. This pen has a dark green barrel, probably the rarest of the PFM colors. It was the first Sheaffer to use their embedded nib; the PFM-II has a palladium (silver and steel) nib that is firm and writes a great, smooth line. The filling mechanism is an update of the Schaffer Snorkel filler. The Snorkel extends into the ink bottle, fills on the down-stroke, then retracks into the barrel, leaving the nib almost free of ink. I am selling this as used, although it may be new-old-stock. As seen in the photo, the original decal with the then-price ($12.50) and the nib size (medium) is still on the barrel. The pen looks new, but I cannot guarantee it. Price includes shipping in the USA. $275.00 Questions? Write me via Ebay: David Silber, Noyesville Pens.
