Description: My grandfather worked for Knickerbocker in NY/NJ from the 1930s into the late 70s so we always had stuffed, plush toys like this around. This stuffed Oscar The Grouch was part of my early childhood as I was born in 1969 so this toy is from the very early 70s (possibly a little earlier as the tag shows no date). One distinguishing feature of this Oscar plush is his mouth. You'll notice it has a flat design as opposed to the ones that came later with a discernible upper/lower jaw, like a puppet would have. Also note, this plush stands about 18" tall, see photos. Overall, this vintage Oscar plush is in very good shape and shows minor wear, a unique children's treasure from the past, see photos and enjoy!
