This auction is for lovely stoneware "Santa's Helpers" Christmas Plate manufactured by the Poole Pottery Company in England in 1978. This was the first annual Christmas plate in a series entitled, "Home at Christmas" and was made of Dorset Clay earthenware. This Limited Edition plate is No 1982 of 10,000 made. It was the first Christmas Plate designed by Barbara Linley Adams and has the incised "BLA" initials of this artist on the back. This plate measures 8 1/8" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks.
