Description: This is an original 1958 hardcover copy of "Saint Joseph Continuous Sunday Missal," edited by Rev. Hugo Hoever and published by the Catholic Book Publishing Co. Masses and prayers for various days of the year are presented, along with color plate sections on the Stations of the Cross, the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and the Promises of the Sacred Heart. The copy being offered is in fair/worn vintage condition overall and makes a great reading copy while showing obvious signs of frequent prior use. As you'll see in my first seven photos, the covers have heavy wear, with scuffs, scrapes, surface rubbing, and particularly heavy edge rubbing, including rounding & layering in all corners and fraying & splitting of the surface layer along the spine. The original red paint of the text of the front cover is largely worn off. Inside, the pages are mostly clean (though the page edges have stains), crisp, and strongly bound. Small dog-ear creases occur on some pages, and writing occurs inside the front cover (shown in my 8th photo); I did not find any other writing or marking while flipping through the book, so if any more exists, it certainly isn't much.
