Description: LONG WAVE UV Large specimen of Ruby in Fuchsite, a metamorphic Schist rock. Nice bright red fluorescing Rubies under long wave UV light. The Fuchsite is dense and compacted with one fresh face to show the interior and the other sides are exterior and weathered. Good amount and nice sized Rubies (Corundum) with likely many more buried in the Fuchsite. Part of a larger rock I broke apart to get more samples that show a fresh interior. The Corundum fluoresces an intense bright cherry red under long wave UV light which my camera and software could not capture accurately (it is more cherry red than images).
