Rolled Rim Compote Tazza bubble stem American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Crystal

Description: This is an antique cut glass compoteUnique features to this compote are plenty: Start with a cut & rolled rim, plus a thick facet cut stem with bubble inside.. The bowl of the compote is also cut with accent lines around the rim and a criss-cross diamond cutting. It sounds like Flint glass the way the rim resonates if you touch it. The clarity and weight appear to be early brilliant period. I have seen this same compote with rim trim and it was attributed to Dorflinger. I think that Dorflinger, New England and also Boston & Sandwich are all strong possibilities. circa. 1870 would be the age range. Measure: 6-1/2" tall by 9" wide. Condition: This is antique and has appropriate age scratches on the bottom to show it, but this is damage free as I find no chips or fleabites or unsightly wear.
