Description: Much of the famous Cobra 427 notoriety can be attributed to its success in the American amateur road racing as well as its international achievements. This kit honors two of the drivers that contributed to the Cobra legend. In the late 60s and early 70s, Sam Feinstein was well[ known in the SCCA northeast region racing scene. Driving his 427 Cobra, CSX3009, he was very successful in A Production races. The car was in top form when in 1973 Sam was able to win the SCCA runoff championship at Road Atlanta, now known as the Road Race of Champions. Harold "Hal" Keck started the 1965 season with a bang, coming in second overall and first in class at the Daytona 12 Hours in the Shelby Daytona coupe. From there he went back to his 427 Cobra and the SCCA competition where he won 9 national A Production class events. With number 11 on his car, as the model represents, Keck went on to win the American Road Race of Champions (AARC) at Daytona in November.
