Rasmus Carl Rasmussen (1847-1923) Listed Danish landscape painter born in Kerteminde in 1847. Rasmussen followed the naturalistic school of painting of the 19th century mixed with the school of Impressionist Skagen colony. The inspiration for a number of forest pictures was the area around Holte and Sollerod, where he stayed during the spring and summer months. Here, year after year, he painted the slender tree trunks of the beech forest, the young forest and the anemones of the forest floor. Rasmussen frequently exhibited at the Royal Charlottenborg Show from 1891-1899 as well as at the World Fair in Chicago in 1893 Shipping fees: United States/ Canada: 40 dollars.
