Description: Quietly Elegant Charcoal/Taupe Handpainted Porcelain Lamp: By Oriental Accent. Shade Included. Created by famed manufacturer of lamps and hand-painted porcelain Oriental Accent Since 1880, this handsome piece is in excellent vintage condition. Shades of black and charcoal provide the primary field of color for this temple jar vase/lamp, with lattice-like diamond pattern overlay in bamboo-like stripes, giving it a distinctly Asian feel. The well-proportioned jar is a rounded square . Base and jar cap are ebony finished, while the finial is an urn-shaped, solid cast polished brass piece. The finial has slight freckling consistent with the age of the lamp (see photo). Rope-like friezes along with additional bamboo-like striping line the jar throat and base. The shade is a traditional bell frame with pleated, shantung textured fabric in ecru tone, lined with white taffeta. Top and lower edges of the lamp are welted in the same fabric as the outer shade. A gold-tone cord provides power to the piece, while a three-way socket allows variable light intensity. Lamp Dimensions: Overall height, 26.75”. Height to socket top, 19”. Harp, 8.5”.
