Specimen Background information: Malachite is composed of basic copper carbonate and they belong to the Carbonates group. Colors range from light to dark green, sometimes banded with darker and lighter shades of green, and sometimes sparkling. If crystalline, it will be dark green. Malachite is a popular mineral with its intense green color and beautiful banded masses. The banded specimens are formed by massive, botryoidal, reniform, and especially stalactitic. The featured Malachite specimen listed is a fibrous malachite free form variety and has a beautiful satin sheen on the surface of the mineral that catches the light. Note: **All specimens are taken in natural and regular lighting only. This specimen is not easy to photograph but is very close. It is also difficult to capture in the pictures the glossy satin sheen surface on both sides of the specimen, that appears to catch and move with the light. It certainly looks better in person in order to appreciate its true natural shade of green color, especially the satin sheen glow plus its shape and form. Please also note that color may be a little different due to the color calibration of each individual monitor or light levels. **As with all genuine mineral specimens, there may be natural occurring inclusions, formations and impressions, including imperfections as it is free form by nature. We have posted close up pictures at all angles for your viewing pleasure in this listing, to show you the fine details, color, form, structure and overall beauty of this fine specimen. **We will only ship to the 48 contiguous U.S. states (No International). **All orders ship within 3-5 business days after receiving cleared payment.
