Description: Plans for Building 18" Rock Slab Lapidary Saw PLEASE NOTE: If you buy these plans, please send me your email address. What you are bidding on is a set of plans (NOT A SAW) and pictures that will enable you to build an auto-feed 18 inch rock saw. To be clear, the saw you see in the pictures is not for sale, it is just to show you what a completed saw built with these plans looks like. I built and sold three saws of this design, and no longer have a large saw. What you will get: A set of emails with detailed directions, 9 dimensional drawings and 49 pictures for the step-by-step building of an 18 inch rock saw. You can then save the contents of the emails to a folder on your computer. I will answer a reasonable number of questions that come up when you are building. If you want to use a 14" or 16" blade, that is OK, but you will probably want to build a tank baffle or put bricks in the tank so it doesn't require so much oil. You can build a very good saw using these plans, but you have to be realistic. This involves some hard work, and is not a "couple of hours on a weekend" type of project. You should assume it will take you about 50 hours of work and cost $500-600 (expense largely depends on the cost of steel in your area). I am willing to answer questions during the process, but I cannot be there to hold your hand. The saw you finally get will reflect the care you put into doing the job right. If you get hurried, impatient or frustrated, you may well botch the job and be unhappy with the result. Since I can't be there, I take no responsibility for the quality of your work, the suitability of the final product, or your safety while making, or subsequently using, the saw. If you want to use the plans for making saws for resale, wonderful, I'm not doing that anymore and hope you will be very successful. However, I plan to sell these plans on eBay in the future and would resent it if anyone copied the plans and went into competition with me.
