Description: Here is a PRETTY VINTAGE PAIR OF BONE CHINA WEDGWOOD CHINESE TIGERS NAPKIN RINGS. Wedgwood introduced the pattern originally in 1815. It was reintroduced again in 1984 (this listing is from the latter era) and discontinued in 1993. The latter collection was called Williamsburg Commemorative Ware. This is the green version, it was also available in red and blue. The napkin rings have a white ground with a gilded borderline around the edges. There is a green Chinese tiger appearing twice around the napkin rings The napkin rings are octagonal. On the inside you will see the Wedgwood urn backstamp, underneath which is WEDGWOOD BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND and the pattern name CHINESE TIGERS. The napkin rings have a diameter of approximately 4.5 cm (1 3/4") 3.8 cm (1 4/8") high. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The gilding is in good order. I also have three other pairs listed separately, namely 1 pair SWALLOW pattern / 1 pair KUTANI CRANE pattern / 1 pair HATHAWAY ROSE pattern. Please have a look at those if you are interested.
