Description: This is a beautiful vintage set of Alfredo Barbini "Birds of Paradise" (circa 1950's). This set includes a pair of exotic Murano Style glass peacocks hand blown in Italy. The bases are wide and heavy to provide a low center of gravity so no tipping over and nicely perched on a gold infused branch. Exquisite gold fleck inclusions throughout the glass make them so unique and a trademark of glass artist Barbini. The birds are pair, standing 14 1/4" tall. One weighs 5 pounds and 3 ounces and the other weighs 4 pounds and 13 ounces. They are about 6" wide at the base. One bird has a missing beak (shown in the photos) otherwise both birds are in good vintage condition without chips or cracks. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
