A note on Sylvette David: In 1954 in Vallauris, France, a beautiful young woman named SYLVETTE DAVID crossed paths with the century’s greatest artist, Pablo Picasso. She soon became the subject of over a hundred of Picasso’s drawings, paintings, and sculptures (one towering thirty-six-feet high). Sylvette subsequently devoted her life to painting, and in 2017 she published a memoir, I Was Sylvette, co-authored with her daughter, the sculptor Isabel Coulton.
