Description: Interesting end of the war ammunition box that would have had an airtight tin full of ammunition inside the wooden box. I don't know what caliber. There is a partial ink stamp on one end, see photo #11. The box lid is made from 5/8ths inch by 1" pieces of wood laminated together with a thin piece of wood top and bottom all glued together. Pretty short of wood and supplies I would imagine. Both latches to secure the lid are present, but one lifting handle is missing, see photo #9. The box is approx 14" x 19" and 7" deep. It weighs 14 pounds. The last photo shows the cardboard mailing label that was inside the box. Shipping is a flat $35.00 in the Continental US.
