Description: In this listing we have a really cute partial doll outfit. This doll outfit was release by Mattel as part of the new Barbie Dream Bestie line. These pieces came with the character called Malibu, the one with the tan. You will get everything shown in the pictures. There is a pink sleeveless top with an empire style waist and clear shoulder straps, a pair of light blue shorts with fake pocket details in the front and a intentionally frayed legholes, a pink plastic hair dryer, a pink plastic mirror, a pink plastic cell phone, and a pink plastic cellphone holder that looks like a classic flip phone. These clothing pieces are designed for the Barbie Dream Besties body and will fit similar sized dolls. These dolls are differently shaped compared to traditional Barbie dolls. The shirt and shorts close in the back with Velcro. The mirror and hair dryer have a handle to help the doll hold them and the cell phone holder has a finger hold that would allow the doll’s finger to hold it. These clothing pieces were made in Indonesia. My pictures came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in person. This doll outfit is in good shape. It has never been played with and was just removed from the box. It does have some minor factory related issues. The top is in good shape. There are some excess threads in the back where the Velcro is sewn on. There is also some excess threads along the top hem where the shoulder straps are sewn on, in the front and back. Along the bottom hem in a couple of spots there is also some thread ends showing. It’s on the front left and side left. The ruffle details around the empire waist is intentionally unhemmed. The edges of it are a bit ragged looking. They didn’t cut it out at that neatly at the factory. On the back right side of the lower part of the top there are a few small snags to the fabric. These are hard to see, but you can see them when looking closely at the top. The clear elastic shoulder straps will age poorly over time. They will go yellow and cloudy, and eventually go sticky and tear off. They are fine as of right now (8/19/2024), but if someone would like for me to check before bidding, please let me know. That is just how the material ages over time. The shorts are in good shape. They also have excess threads in the back where the Velcro is sewn on. There is also some excess threads showing at the ends of the sewn on front pocket details. There is also some excess threads at the inseam on the shorts. The inseam on the shorts is a little uneven with one side a little longer than the other. They are a little creased across from the front of them from how they were posed in the box. The hair dryer is in good shape. It does have seam lines and mold injection spots. On the front of the handle at the top there are two mold injection spots with some excess plastic. It’s a little unsightly. There are some small scratches here and there to it. The mirror is in good shape. It also has a seam line going all along the edge of the piece. On the side of the bow there is a mold injection spot with some excess plastic there. The plastic is a little rough in that spot, I would be careful with it because it could snag clothing or hair. The image of the mirror face is printed onto the plastic. It’s a little off center of the molded details. The printing is a little blurry, you can see the dots making up the coloring. Along the top edge they didn’t print the color fully so there’s a white line going along the edge. There are a few small scratches and scuffs here and there to the mirror. The phone is in good shape. It also has seam lines going around the edge. The phone also has several seam lines on the back, and a molded in 2 in the plastic. The phone has mostly a matte finish, but on the back there are several random shiny spots on the plastic. There is a mold injection spot with some trimmed off plastic in that spot that is a little bit obvious along the edge. The printing on the front of the phone is a little crooked. It’s also a bit pixelated in spots. The phone case is in good shape. It has seam lines all over the phone with some excess plastic in several spots. The case is a little warped, mostly because it’s made out of a softer plastic, but is straighter when the phone is in the case. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll outfit and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
