MASI 3V Volumetrica CCCP Russian Red Steel Frame 58cm Modolo EDCO headset bike

Description: Relisted for non-paying auction winner. Please read the entire description: This is #30 of 100 very limited edition CCCP Russian Masi 3V Volumetrica framesets from Masi USA. This 58cm (c-t) Ferrari Red beauty has been built up and ridden less than 50 miles. Top tube is 57cm (c-c). It is next to new, with only a few pinpoint paint defects, mostly touched up so one cannot see them...they don't show up in photos . Decals are perfect, dropouts and fork crown are nicely chromed. The lettering is Russian, using the Cyrillic alphabet. Contrary to recent on-line stories, these frames were not built for the Russian Olympic team, but were built in 1989 & 1990 as a tribute to the recent World Championship rides of Viacheslav Ekimov in the late 1980s. Coincidentally, the Soviet Union fell in 1989. This frame uses the proprietary 3V internal lugs and oversized 3 main tubes. Frame was beautifully painted & decalled by Jim Allen, the primary paint guy at Masi USA in the 1980s. This frame & fork will come with the $150 black sealed EDCO headset and the seat pin. I will throw in the embroidered CCCP hat. The seatpost, saddle, handlebars, shifters, and Cinelli 1R stem ARE NOT INCLUDED. I bought this gem four years ago and it has been hanging on a wall since then. The first owner had it professionally built by a pro shop and it was ridden twice. There cannot be many of this frame in this condition. This is truly a rare gem. It was one of the favorites in Robin Williams' collection, sold after his death.
