Not only can this unit record live TV programs onto DVD, but it can also transfer your old home movies onto DVD. You will still need either an old camcorder (8mm, Hi8, MiniDV, etc) or VCR that can load and run the type of tape you are wanted to transfer. You will also need an extra RCA cable to connect the camcorder or VCR to the DVD recorder input channel. There’s a video on YouTube that I can refer for you to that documents the entire process.. if you would like me to send you that link I certainly can. Once your camcorder or VCR is set up/connected to the DVD recorder and is playing back the tape in the screen, hit the record button and it will begin copying the tape to a blank DVD as the camcorder/VCR plays it. This listing includes the remote control, a pair of AV cables, and the power supply. Remote controls all functions except it does not have a “record” button on it so to begin recording, you’ll have to press the button on the front of the player itself.
