Jules Erbit (1889–1968) was an American artist known for his skill in creating portraits of glamorous women, which he produced primarily for magazines, advertisements, and calendar companies in the early to mid-20th century. Born in Hungary, Erbit moved to the United States, where he developed a reputation as a talented portrait artist and illustrator, often working with pastels to achieve soft, elegant textures in his work.Erbit's artwork featured idealized, stylish women, typically depicted with grace and sophistication, which aligned with the aesthetics of the Art Deco era. His work became widely recognized on calendars, pin-up art, and even advertisements for products like beauty and skincare items. Today, Erbit’s work is celebrated among collectors of vintage calendar art and pin-up art for its distinct, nostalgic charm.
