The series of concerts was scheduled to run from March 19, 20 and 21, 1976 The concert performances took place soon after Liza's blockbuster success in the film version of "Cabaret" (1972)... and only three years after she received the Oscar Award (March 27, 1973) for her performance as Sally Bowles. Postcard was created to promote the Harrah's concert with Liza and Brian Farnon and His Orchestra. She was the headliner for the South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe. Clearly, the daughter of Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli had come into her own... and this represents what is widely considered to be a true high-point in her impressive career as an entertainer.
