Description: Late 19th Century Button Pendant LION Crown Axe Crest Coat of Arms Gold Tone This unique and interesting antique button was repurposed back in the 1980s-1990s or so to create this magnificent pendant for a necklace. The pendant is preowned and is in good and acceptable condition for the right person. The antique button is from the late 1800s and is a gold tone button with a lion holding an axe with a crown on his head. It is similar to the crest of Norway but not exactly sure of the designation of the lion. The button was affixed to a standard gold tone pendant backing with top bale to string your own necklace through. The button itself is pretty rare, we haven't been able to find one like it in this exact design. Conditional issues are - the button face has surface scratching and wear. There is a small amount of metal degradation on the front. The pendant back has surface scratching and some rub off marks of the gold tone.
