Description: This is a signed 5" x 7" black and white photograph of Leo Durocher (1905-1991), baseball player, manager, coach, and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.I believe this to be a modern photograph that was copied from the original photo or printed from the original negative; I do not believe it to be a vintage photo. This one was signed by Mr. Durocher prior to 10/7/1991.The image dates from between mid-1933 and 1937, when he was a player with the Gashouse Gang, the nickname of that group of St. Louis Cardinals. The uniform in the image and the hat he is wearing are consistent with the 1933-1937 apparel worn by the Cardinals. Mr. Durocher had a long and colorful career; his nicknames of "Leo the Lip" and "Lippy" reflected his outspoken nature. He had 2,008 career managerial victories, appeared on three All Star teams, and was a member of four World Series Championship teams, 1928, 1934, 1954, and 1963. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. The photo was sent to PSA/DNA for authentication and encapsulation. Both were done and the PSA/DNA Certification Number is 85097083. The encapsulation measures approximately 10" x 13".Domestic USPS Ground Advantage with tracking is included.International shipping is through eBay's International Shipping service.
