Leica 5cm f3.5 (50mm) Elmar vintage lens 1938 clean LTM L39

Description: For your consideration is Leica 5cm f3.5 Elmar prime lens (50mm prime lens) with its serial number in picture No. 9, dating it to about 1938. It is made in Germany. It is an all manual lens for the Leica Barnack system, but can easily be adapted to more modern cameras like the Leica M2, M4, M9 or the one in the image etc with an LTM to M mount adapter, or even other brands with the correct adapter. It is a nice clean lens optically (I can't see any fungus, haze). High quality glass from that era such as Zeiss and Leica do sometimes have minute bubbles or couple specs/dust in the glass, which is not a defect but quite normal and does not affect images. This is a collapsible lens and has the many aperture blades for very smooth bokeh (background blur). This is adult owned, cared for and kept in the studio and I hate to sell it. It comes with the screw on rear cap and front cover shown in the pictures. There is normal wear and tear to the lens body for it age. See an example of it adapted to digital above. Although the item is in good condition, it is a vintage used piece from the 1930s and, as such, you should expect normal wear & tear, minor blemishes & small imperfections, such as minor dents, scuffs or paint loss.
