The grass, sky, water, etc. on the edge of each image matches seamlessly with the same on every other image. They each stand independently, as well. Clouds are embossed into (or actually ‘out of’ each image) and various foils are hand laid into the images (gold, silver, and red). But any one of them can be moved and they will still flow from one to another seamlessly. Jorgen Bechmann Jorgen Bechmann arrived in Australia in 1980 and now lives in Sydney. His Scandinavian heritage and training, evident in his crisp, clean style, give him the ability to simplify the complex, while retaining the essence of the object or the scene. His work has an enormous appeal .... like a breath of fresh air. It illustrates his infatuation with Australia’s natural environment, a fact which is obvious from his first series of screenprints, titled ‘If you saw through my eyes, Australia,’ and even more so in his latest paintings and prints, ‘Modern Australian Dreamtimes.’ Bechmann has lived and exhibited in the Middle East, Europe, America, England and North Africa.
