Also advertised are 'Cash Prizes!' for a Dance Contest, Best Dancer and Best Dresser.Brown was red hot at the time of this show, having released a string of classic singles including 'Hot Pants,' 'Make it Funky,' King Heroin' and 'Get on the Good Foot.' The month of this show he released his 37th studio album, The Payback, which went to #1 on the Soul Albums chart and top 40 on the Pop Album charts. It was Brown's only studio album to be certified gold. Wikipedia notes 'The Payback is considered a high point in Brown's recording career, and is now regarded by critics as a landmark funk album.
