Share the magic! ****** This effect is (perhaps) the precursor to Tenyo's 2022 offering, Flash Cubes, since the effects of both involve square puzzle cubes rearranging themselves to instantly create a coherent picture. But Instant Portrait is easier to perform than its followup, and although Flash Cubes allows for multiple possible pictures, the simpler effect of Instant Portrait (and somewhat more mechanical method) make it as strong (or maybe stronger) effect.Instant Portraits effect looks like this: magic shows a black box, from which he dumps out 12 puzzle cubes. The cubes are mixed a bit on the table, and then six of the cubes are pushed toward the spectator. The magi keeps the other six cubes and moves them together into a rectangle shape -- the image on top is random and scrambled. The spectator is asked to do the same. Now the magi shows a small card portrait of a famous painting. Magi asks the spectator to do her puzzle -- she moves the cubes around and turns their orientations, until she has matched the portrait on the card. It takes her about 10 seconds. The magi now shows his scrambled cubes again, and covers them with the lid of the black box. "I'll do mine in the dark, and faster". Immediately the lid is lifted, and the scrambled cubes have magically rearranged to create the portrait. A mentioned, this method is more "automatic" than Tenyo's similar Flash Cubes trick. But still takes some practice to do smoothly. (In my personal set, shown in photos, the cubes unscramble to create Edvard Munch's "The Scream", but you can also make this as Van Gogh's Self portrait -- you get blank puzzle cubes and necessary stickers to create either painting. Once you pick one, it is not really an option to change it from show to show. I picked "The Scream" because I thought it was edgy, but in hindsight, I think this one looks better using Van Gogh's Portrait.) This one sells for about $24 in most places I found it, but did see it for $19 at one seller. I'll match that price since it is crazy low for this very neat Tenyo item.Comes with package and instructions in Japanese -- English instruction sheets are available on a free downloadBrand new and unused, sealed in original package +++++++++++ ***** Yes, we will combine multiple eBay wins into a single shipment to help lower the overall shipping costs.
