Description: Field grey wool sailor's cap with 1 II MATROSEN= DIVISION II 1 cap ribbon.Wool cap with grey cotton twill lining, imitation leather sweat band, metal sew-on cockade.Wool and cotton lining in very good condition, but with light staining on cotton lining, and small areas of moth tracking on top of crown. Imitation leather sweatband is cracked with numerous areas of flaked finish. Full length ribbon has slightly tarnished letters, but fabric is in good condition. The last photo shows two elderly sailors on the MATROSEN=DIVISION in similar caps. The photo is not included.
