Handmade Sterling Jewelry Necklace Choker Pendant Vintage Artisan Raffaele Hobe

Description: Estate Jewelry, Handmade Sterling Rolled Silver Necklace Choker Pendant, Vintage, Flower Bud Budding Rose Leaf, Coil Circle, Collectible Mid Century Artisan Nature Themed Handmade Silver Artisan Necklace This very collectible choker necklace measures about 10 inches long. The chain itself hangs about 7 inches, which makes this a short necklace or choker. The pendant hangs just at or slightly below the breastbone, depending of course on the neck size. The pendant at the end of the necklace is about 2.5 inches long by about 2.75 inches wide. The back of this piece reads: “HANDMADE STERLING” I do not know if that means the entire piece is sterling silver or just parts of it. It does feel like the chain might not be silver but I am no expert. I believe the process of making this vintage piece is called “rolled silver.” However, I am not an expert and do not know that for sure. Please ask questions. I believe this choker necklace is from the 1940s, based on the estate in which it was found. It could be older if it was inherited rather than purchased in the 40s. This piece is similar to others I have seen by Raffaele Jewelry and by Hobe Jewelry. But I do not know that this choker is by either of these jewelers. The necklace slip hook works as it should, easily slipping on and off of the chain. The artist obviously paid attention to the details of the flower and leaves, as well as the showy circular pendant. I see no maker mark, hallmark, or artist signature. I have several other pieces of rolled silver jewelry listed; brooch and two sets of earrings.
