It is the actual hand-signed signature of the artist. It is not a pre-printed image on the print. Signature will vary as to exact location signed but is clear, not smudged, etc. Also, there are slight Sharpie marker spots on the back side of the print where the print was laid atop the previously signed print which had not fully dried. Not bad, and not visible form the front, only on the back side.
