Spring '90 Tour !! The Infamous & Awesome ! ... " Voodoo Skull ! - Shrunken Head !! " Art Design - by Reonegro ! This is a Very-Rare !! Spring '90 Tour ! - meets - Reonegro ! Art Design which was only ever used a few times by The Grateful Dead ! for Official Backstage Pass Show Credentials ! And, just off the top off my ' Dead-Head ' ( which, is thankfully ' not ' Shrunken ! - or Voodooed ! - Ha !! ) - the only other-times I can think of that this Reonegro Art Design was used was later on in 1994, during the Summer & Fall Tours - on 7/24/94 for Soldiers Field in Chicago - and on 10/2/94 - for the Boston Garden. With, this 4/1/90 Omni ! Pass being the " Debut & Original-Issue ! " of this ' Gruesomely~Awesome !! ' Art Design. And so ... yep, You-Betcha ! - as This-One ! was " The 1st !! ". And as for The ' Good Ol' ' Omni ?! Definitely one of the Best-Places ! to catch Spring Tour - as Touring in the South ! was always real-nice & laid-back - well, you know ... as laid back as laid-back could be in the Late-'80's & Early/Mid-'90's - on " Dead Tour !! ". The last run I caught there was the Spring '92 3-Show stand - and the Ticket scene in the lot was nearly about as tough as I could ever remember seeing !?! Always very ' cattle-like ' ( ha ! ) trying to get in through the Omni big-glass doors ! - but once you're inside ... it's all Live-Dead Bliss !! I actually remember seeing a G.D. video one time - and Garcia was cracking a joke about how the 1st time the band played there - there were " only like 50 people in the crowd ". Maybe then, but certainly not in the Early 90's !?!?! I'd get into how Incredibly-Hot !! this still-with-Brent ! on the keys G.D. unit really was in '89 & '90 - but I think the " Spring 1990 Box Set(s) " certainly did a pretty nice job reminding all of us about this Fantastic ! Dead Tour - and, including ( naturally ... ) - This ! 4/1/90 Omni Show !! Just like Bob Weir said ( somewhat-recently ! ) ... " We were Really-Hot ! in the Late-80's & Early-90's " ... you betcha Bobby ! and then-some !! ... " Hah !! ". This 4/1/90 Show was the ' Opening-Night ! ' of the Last/Final run of Shows - a 3-Night stand ( 4/1/90 > 4/2/90 > 4/3/90 ) - on Spring Tour '90 ! ... right at the Good Ol' Omni !! - in Hotlanta, GA !!! And, just as you might naturally expect - and, hopefully too ... You Were There ! ... the Boys delivered an Absolute-Scorcher !! of a Show for the Georgia, Southern & Dead-Fan Faithful !! ... Touch > Walkin' Blues ! to Open ! -- of of the Last ! ' Just a Little Light ' kick-downs by Brent ! -- Jerry with the Candyman ! & Althea ! -- Bobby with the Uncle > River ! -- the ' Lay Me Down ' comes-out ( for one of the Later/Last times ) -- and the Music Never Stopped !! ( & a Hot-One ! ) closed-out the 1st Set ! ... And, as for ' Set II ' ... Whoa !!?!! ... China > Rider !!! -- Ship O' Fools > Women Are Smarter -- and, to Drive-It-On-Home !
